Interiors ~ First Floor

The living room provides two comfortable seating areas: the main area and a cozy section by the Vermont Casting woodstove. The room features cable TV, a VCR (with an extensive tape collection), French doors to the deck, a desk with telephone.

A pleasant sunroom with skylights and furnished with wicker connects to the livingroom—we love having our morning coffee here.

The huge kitchen is a delight for all cooks! There is an island with five-burner gas stove, a convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, Pfaltzcraft and Corelle dishes, good pots and pans, sharp knives, coffee makers, toasters, toaster oven, mixers, blender, lobster pot, clam steamer and more—everything you’ll need!

A dining area is separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar. The grandchildren love to eat breakfast here! A large table with cushioned chairs seats six comfortably. Bookcases hold an extensive library for adults and children.

Three bedrooms sleep up to six people. All beds have excellent mattresses, soft pillows, nice linens, and down comforters or electric blankets for chilly nights.

The master bedroom, on the first floor, is very spacious and has French doors that open to the lower deck. The double bed has a ětop-of-the-lineî pillow-top mattress (new in 2003). The cherry bedroom suite includes an armoire and a small wardrobe provides more closet space.

A second bedroom on the first floor has a queen-size bed with excellent pillow-top mattress (new in 2003). The room has a closet, dresser and mirrored vanity. This room is next to the first floor bathroom.

The first floor bathroom (just remodeled) has a tub/shower, fan and heat lamp. New washer and dryer are located here.

Interiors ~ Second Floor

A third bedroom on the second floor is furnished with an antique double bed, also with a new mattress. There is also an antique mirrored dresser. This room has a large closet and a bathroom across the hall.

The second floor bathroom has a shower and wall heater. Large quality towels are available in both bathrooms.

A special place for us is the entrance to the upper deck. We take our wine and cheese, sit in the wicker chairs, and watch the sunsets. There are no two alike. In summer, we open the doors to let the sea breezes in. One winter we even watched a fascinating sunset through a “blizzard” when a small snow squall crossed the island just before the sun slipped behind the Camden Hills.
