Events & Projects
Dear IWF members,
It's hard to believe it's been 8 years since Shereen founded Independent
Women Filmmakers, and over 6 years since we launched the website!
Currently we have 64 member photos/resumes listed on our Resume
page. Some of them have not been updated since 2001, some have
e-mail addresses and photo numbers that are no longer valid,
and some still have added no information whatsoever to their
pages. So, in order to keep our Resume page as fast and current
as possible for our members, we are going to start deleting resumes.
In a few weeks we will delete resume pages with no information
on them. Then we will delete any resumes with information that
has not been updated since 2003. If you fall in to one of those
categories and would like your resume page to stay on the website,
please e-mail Jean with any pertinent information.
Members wishing to update photos and add to your resume information
are always welcome to send those changes along whenever you have
them.
All our best,
Shereen Noon - Founder, Independent Women Filmmakers
Jean Marie - Director, Independent Women Filmmakers

IWF member Paige Donner wrote
an article titled: "You As Creator:
New Distribution Models Level The Playing Field" that was featured
in the AFM AFI 2006 Issue of Moving Pictures Magazine. Read
the article....

IWF
member Julie Lynch has
just been commissioned to write a biopic based on the life of the
artist CHRISTINE ROSAMOND. She was incredibly popular in the '70s
(sold millions of prints of her work) and died in a tragic accident
in the '90s just as she was getting back in the public eye.

IWF member Kaye Kittrell
"Betty's
Treats", the directorial debut of actress, Kaye Kittrell,
is a comic love tale with a twist, set in 1957, Riverdale, USA,
geared for all audiences.
Betty, in flowing silk organza, red lipstick and polished red nails,
pumps tied with a bow, a perfectionist, is busy baking her true
love's favorite treats (he'll be home any minute), when the doorbell
rings, which changes the course of Betty's day. Does Betty take
her fascination with a certain comic book figure too far? We'll
find out. A film about lost love, and how to get it back, starring
Kaye Kittrell as Betty and Erica Gimpel as Mrs. Wilson.
A an official selection in three film festivals, you can find out
