Shereen Noon
Filmmaker/Writer/Director/Producer
Shereen Noon wrote, directed,
and co-executive produced BODY:
THE VALUE OF WOMEN, an in-depth analysis of body image and self-esteem
in America -- her second producing credit as a filmmaker.
She also associate produced the indie feature, Paper, Rock, Scissors,
an official selection of the Newport Beach International Film Festival
and has worked in a variety of capacities in the independent film
industry.

After associate producing Paper, Shereen wanted to work on something
that mattered to her personally; the story of how women struggle
with bodyimage every day of their lives and the debilitating affect
it can have on productivity and quality of life. It seemed
a subject that hadn't been dealt with much in film, and she wanted
to compassionately share with women who had similar experiences
that size and age has nothing to do with self-esteem.
Shereen is a screenwriter and is currently writing a feature script
on the relationships between women. She is the founder of
the international women filmmaker's organization, IWF, based in
Los Angeles, and most recently founded an educational program for
women screenwriters and directors, Tano
Media Institute which holds intensive retreats at Ghost Ranch
in New Mexico.
