Location,
location, location
I can shoot your session at my garden studio or at one of many
beautiful locations in the Sarasota area. To travel out of town,
a $25 an hour (includes gas and mileage) travel fee will be
charged. All on location photography must be scheduled in advance
so we may discuss the best time of day for lighting and the
look and atmosphere you have in mind. Florida weather can change
in minutes, so if the weather does not cooperate, we will re-schedule
and try again!
Photo Session Costs
A session fee of $100 is required at the time of your photo
session and is not subtracted from your order. Ten pictures
will be taken from which you can select. You can select from
either color or black&white. If you would like to extend
your session time and take additional photos, the cost will
be an additional $65 for each additional ten pictures. For Senior
portraits your session includes a photo to be used in your yearbook.
Retakes
If it's my fault or a technical error, I will gladly shoot your
photos at no charge. If you decide you want to re-shoot your
session, the charge is $75 per ten shots.
About Your Proofs
This is where it gets a little serious, but I find my clients
like having all the costs and restrictions clear up front, and
it saves misunderstandings later. So here are the costs and
standard legalese regarding proofs:
Your proofs are actually beautiful permanent prints. A deposit
of $100 is required to take them from my studio to show them
to your family and friends. This deposit will be subtracted
from your order or refunded if no order is placed. Proofs must
be returned within one week. The proofs are on loan only and
remain the property of Susie's Paradise Portraits, and are protected
by a very strict copyright law. You will receive ten free proofs
with orders of $400 or more, or $10 each with orders of less
than $400. If you would like to purchase all ten proofs without
placing a print order, the fee is $150.
The negatives are also owned and retained by Susie's Paradise
Portraits - you can re-order prints at any time. Absolutely
no copies of any photographs taken by Susie's Paradise Portraits
can be made without express written permission from Susie's
Paradise Portraits.
About Your Photographs
Your photographs (8x10's, 5x7's, or 4x5's) will be presented
to you in beautiful folders ready to give as gifts to your family
and friends. All photographs 11 x 14 and larger are mounted
on a durable mat board and are finished according to the category
you select. Retouching services and prices vary depending on
your needs. You can select from a variety of finishes.

Paradise Portraits
The Paradise Portrait category is for individual portraits, couples,
or groups of three. These beautiful portraits are printed in units,
allowing you to make up your own package. Retouching is available
in this category for an additional charge of $25 per negative
and is considered "basic", and includes the removal
of blemishes, and softening of facial lines.

Sand
Castle Portraits
The Sand Castle category is for individual portraits
and groups of all sizes, and includes color portraits only.
For people who demand the best, it includes "Repri Retouching"
which, in addition to basic retouching, includes further softening
of facial lines, eyeglass glare removal, removal of stray hairs,
veins, eye shadows and bags, and toning down of facial shine,
etc. Although Repri Retouching is expensive, it's the best way
to achieve that "Hollywood Glamour" perfection you
see in the magazines. If
you have special requests, such as removal of braces or a double
chin, there may be an additional charge. (I do contact the lab
with your special requests so I can give you their estimate
before the work is done.)
The portraits are then sprayed with a satin finish that not
only enhances the portrait, but protects it as well.

I offer a wonderful selection of large wall portraits in various
sizes and textures, to create that special piece or art that
you will proudly display in your home.
Large Basic Prints
This category is for people who want a large wall print, but
require no re-touching or print textures. The prints are mounted
and sprayed with a satin finish and are an excellent choice
for portraits of babies, small children, pets, or scenic shots.

Prestigious Paradise Portraits
This is as good as it gets! We take your beautiful portrait, then
use the talents of re-touch artists who use Repri Digital Negative
Retouching to enhance your portrait by softening facial lines,
removing stray hair, toning down facial shine....the same treatment
as the Sand Castle Portraits, but on a much larger size print.
All prints are mounted on durable, archival backing. You can choose
from a variety of textures, including Linen, Palette, and Brush.
The print is then sealed with a beautiful satin finish. I will
be happy to show you samples. You can order just the texture,
or just the satin finish, if you like. You can also order a high
gloss lamination that is very contemporary and perfect for the
right picture.
